De tout temps, j’ai eu un lien particulier avec les corvidés, particulièrement la corneille noire et le grand corbeau, tulugaq pour les inuits. Mangeurs de morts et psychopompes, ils sont, chez nous, associés au deuil et au malheur, mais pour les anciens Islandais cet oiseau avait le don de prédire les événements futurs. De fil en aiguille, le concept de l’album est né. 5 titres dédiés à 5 animaux emblématique de nos glaces en train de disparaître sous les attaques de la société humaine :

1 Ukpik : l’Harfang des neiges
2 Umingmak : le Boeuf musqué
3 Amaruq : le Loup
4 Nanuq : l’Ours polaire
5 Tuugaalik : le Narval

L’ensemble des titres présentent une structure similaire : sur une base ambient / Dark ambient, les percussions techno vont prolonger la transe et vous emporter sous les ailes de Tulugaak en suivant notre route vers le néant.

I have always had a special link with corvids, especially the crow and the raven, tulugaq for the Inuit. Eaters of dead flesh and psychopomps, they are associated with mourning and misery, but for the ancient Icelanders this bird had the gift of predicting future events. From one thread to another, the concept of this album is born. 5 tracks dedicated to 5 animals emblematic of our pack ice disappearing under the attacks of human society:

1 Ukpik : Snowy Owl
2 Umingmak : Muskox
3 Amaruq : Wolf
4 Nanuq : Polar Bear
5 Tuugaalik : the Narwhal

All tracks have a similar structure: on an ambient / Dark ambient basis, the percussions will prolong the trance and take you away under Tulugaak’s wings following our road to nothingness.
