"Huívlu Mapu" is the last record that Manuel Knwell has recorded with Sergio Peralta for Kasa de Orates; project that Knwell has been developing for ten years. The concept of this work is related to the struggle that the earth is giving as an entity to survive the "Western civilization" and its economic model.
The disc consists of three parts that are made with instruments from different latitudes: Aymara, Tibetan and Mapuche, which represent the pure environment which is being preyed on by the advance of the industry.
The second part refers to the pain suffered by the earth in our times, being the third and last cut the desperate cry of the earth to save our humanity.
Once the concepts with which they work are determined, they immerse themselves in a sea of ​​sounds where improvisation, originality, spontaneity and the complex set of cacophonies is shaping the proto-music, a term with which filmmakers feel more identified. The final product is a disc that speaks by itself and that flows naturally, without falling into virtuous ostentation or an aseptic and overworked sound.

In order to reach the level of self-healing, both Sergio Peralta and Manuel Knwell have traveled from darkness to light, alluding to the famous phrase of Penderecki: "To reach the light you have to go through darkness". On the other hand, Eastern philosophy is always present, where the duality: light / darkness remain united and therefore the dark part of the human being is not rejected.
